2004 Workshop |

Summer Square Rule Workshop in BoiseAugust 2004 The Boise project involved building a pavilion for the Idaho State Historical Museum in Julia Davis Park in the heart of the city. The open air pavilion features king posts and double knee braces to handle the windy (but not snowy) climate. This is an area that for the most part had no idea what timber framing was before this event. It was a terrific amount of work, made more so by unforeseen circumstances, but compensated for by the bonus of new companions and their astonishing contributions. We believe the project had a huge, positive impact on the staff of the Historical Museum and the residents of the town of Boise and the surrounding community. We hope to return in the near future, as we are developing another project in the area with the Museum.
