The Frame Also Rises

The peripatetic pine 12' x 16' frame that was cut in the Guild Timber Framing course, then made an appearance at the 1999 Smithsonian Folklife Festival for two weeks, has finally come home. Purchased by residents of a summer lake-side community in Connecticut, the frame was delivered by Executive Directors Will Beemer and Joel McCarty. They along with Michele Beemer and residents of the community raised the frame.

Here are a few photos of the raising.

If it appears that the residents know what they're doing, there's a very good reason: Many of them are veterans of Will Beemer's Heartwood School courses.
