Montebello Gazebo Finished in Time for TFG Conference
Photos and text by Joel McCarty
March 2000
Here are photos of the before and after of the Gazebo project hosted by the Log Builders Association in March 2000 at Chateau Montebello, Quebec. We're proud to announce that it will be on view during the Guild's 16th Annual Eastern Conference this October 27-29. Mark your calendars, for you won't want to miss the chance to see the log-timbered Chateau Montebello.
The Gazebo Project, entitled "Round Meets Square," was led by TFG members Robert Chambers, Ed Shure and Joel McCarty. This was a fairly complex building, and it will be available for your inspection and critique during the TFG conference in October. The week-long workshop unfolded on the banks of the beautiful Ottowa River, right in front of the hotel. It allowed us to sample all the different charms of the Chateau Montebello so as to ensure the upcoming conference will be a success.
