Accommodations “Surrounded by 22 acres of forest, rich in Douglas fir and Arbutus trees, and bordered by 3 kilometers of sandy beaches in Parksville, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island, Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort and Conference Center feels miles away from everything. All 192 units are handcrafted log construction, built with real fir and cedar logs. Additional 17% taxes will be added to these prices (Provincial 8%; City/Tourist 2%; GST 7%). GST tax is refundable for most U.S. residents. The Guild Room Block includes the lodging types listed below. Jedediah Units Bachelor type units with a queen bed and a queen Murphy bed. Closest to the conference facility. $99/night Oceanview Suites One bedroom suite overlooking the ocean with a queen bed in the bedroom, double hide-a-bed in the living area, fireplace and balcony with a view of the ocean. Farthest from the conference facility but with a water view. $120/night Oceanview Bachelor Units Bachelor type unit with a queen bed, double hide a bed and fireplace with a balcony with a view of the ocean. Farthest from the conference facility but with a water view. $115/night Signature Forest Studio These units are in three or four plex buildings surrounding the Grotto Spa in the forest. Each unit is a studio with king bed, queen Murphy bed, partial kitchen, Jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Moderately far from the conference. $132/night Signature Forest Suite These units are nestled in the three and four plex units as well. They are a large one bedroom unit with two queen beds in the bedroom and a queen Murphy bed in the living area. Two gas fireplaces, two televisions, full kitchen and jetted tub. Some have a king bed in the bedroom and queen Murphy in the living room and some have two bedrooms, a king in one bedroom, queen in the 2nd and queen Murphy in the living area. Moderately far from the conference. $155/night Cottage 2 Bedroom Two bedroom with queen size beds or 1 queen and twin beds in the second bedroom. Full kitchen, fireplace and double hide a bed. Reservations are not accepted prior to April 1, but if you call immediately on that date you should be able to get a site, which costs $22 CAN/night. If you do not stay at the Resort, you must still register for the full conference or as a commuter. There is no option to attend the conference without meals. |
