Special Events
Our Conference agenda, besides having fun and enjoying the fabulous
Chateau Montebell, include Pre-Conference Workshops, numerous seminars
and the following Special Events:
The TFG Benefit Auction is a major fundraiser of the
year and made successful through our members' generous and creative
contributions of goods and services. Whether your donation is big
or small, heavy or light, edible or wearable, serious or silly, it
helps your Guild. All manner of goods are welcome: products,
promises, tools, treasures, hand-stitched, hand-hewn, sweet, sour,
little, large, serious, silly, fashionable, historical. Please
consider bringing a donation. Your imagination and generosity power
the success of this important fundraiser. If you cannot attend the
Conference, please consider sending an item. Sponsored by Hundegger
USA with additional support from Sauter Timber.
The Trade Fair this year will start at 0830 on
Friday, October 29th, (set-up Thursday) and run through Saturday 6:30pm.
This gives you an extra half-day to meet suppliers for the timber
frame industry who will display their products and services and
explain in detail how they're used. Meet those who support our
craft in the field, including panel suppliers, tool vendors and
wood brokers. The Timber Frame Business Council (TFBC) organizes
the Trade Fair. The Timber

wish to exhibit, contact the TFBC at 888-560-9251, or View

refreshments on Friday afternoon.
Charlotte Cooper and Bill Devereaux will once again bring the
Summer Beam Bookstore for one-stop shopping and browsing for
all those hard-to-find titles on woodworking and timber framing.
Sponsored by Duluth Timber Company.
Slide Show: Well, they aren't really slides anymore,
are they? Be a presenter! Share your experiences, your problems and
your work on Friday night. Everyone's work is welcome at this
Conference highlight. Bring ten of your favorite slides (or better
yet, send digital images in early) related to your work in timber
framing to share on Friday night. Further details will be included
with your registration confirmation. Randy Churchill is
coordinating the Show. Download the information for submissions.
